Standing at the counter and discussing personal preferences to choose a drink is part of what makes bar-hopping enjoyable. Situated on 1F of the Takahashi Building in Kita-Ueno, Ayumi combines the calm atmosphere of an authentic bar with an unpretentious standing counter. While standing is the standard arrangement, stools are also available, making it easy to stop by solo.

The back bar displays a diverse selection of spirits centered on whisky, alongside several Calvados bottlings. Guests can order whatever fits their mood, whether a malt whisky highball made with Cragganmore or Glenmorangie, a Gordon's-based gin and tonic with a lemon wedge, a gin rickey prepared with Setouchi gin, or a Calvados Harvard Cooler. The lineup also features classics like the Jack Rose and bartender-crafted milkshakes, allowing visitors to tailor their drink through conversation with the bartender.

Bar snacks and dessert plates are available to accompany the drinks, and patrons can also settle in with beer or wine. The bar operates from early evening into the late-night hours, and payments can be made by credit card or PayPay. Ayumi works equally well for a quick final nightcap or an extended evening spent conversing over drinks.
